HIDDEN MESSAGE

Some of you must be wondering. Is there any hidden message underneath all this long series of movies? Is there any lesson we should be picking up out of them? Well, there is most definitely some kind of intention behind all the work and money put towards them.

Right since when we start to watch any of the movies, we can clearly spot that Blade Runner is a speculative fiction story, where the directors make an assumption about the robots we, humans, have created for our comfort. When they filmed the first movie, they were certain about these robots taking over us by 2019, which is the year we are currently at. They might not have been totally right about the exact time and year, I guess they rushed a little too much on that. But don’t you think there might be a little piece of truth about their predictions?

We are definitely at a stage right now where we would love to have robots that would do anything and everything for us, from brushing our teeth to teaching for us. However, I don’t think we realize about the harm they can get to cause us. Experts are already saying  a third of the global workforce will be automated by 2030 (Blake). If it’s going to take these robots so short to take over our jobs, who says they won’t as well be able to take over all the rest of our world if we give them another 20 years?

You can call me crazy but the situation portrayed to us in Blade Runner doesn’t sound too unbelievable. I think it is time we stop and rethink this immoderate production of robots unless we want to be controlled by machines that will be more intelligent than us and be able to control us one day.
